Hideo “Hide” Kato, 85, of Waianae, Oahu, died Nov. 6 at The Queen’s Medical Center–West Oahu in Ewa Beach. Born in Paauhau, he was a retired teacher and former head baseball coach at Waianae High School and Little League baseball coach.
